okay, so i wanted to open up a shop on http://www.etsy.com and i want to make it a BIG hit. i have so many ideas and stuff but i want to let people know about it and all. so i was wondering if anyone out there had any tips for getting the word out.

i mean this isn’t JUST for my shop. it’s for a lot of projects i’m working on. i just want to get my stuff out there so it can me judged by society and hopefully people like it and stuff. well, thank you all who take the time to help me out a bit.

I **** to spam forums and other sites, but how do you go about getting people’s attention. Banner ads are ignored. Email promotions are considered spam…so questions seem good… What do you think ?

I live on a small island and I have recently started a home based business with a company in the US. I have been doing promotions locally but now I need to do some internet marketing. I have a website that I got from the company and would like to get people to see it. I am not familiar with internet advertising but I did try a few free sites and got no hits. I would like to know where is the best place to advertise, whether free or paid, so I can get some hits.

I thought that I had a really good relationship with my co workers, but since I got a promotion, that I did not ask for, everyone is talking behind my back (asking one another if I should have gotten the job) and some are not even speaking to me. Should I care? How do I build the team back? I also want to say that I really do deserve this promotion, I have been dedicated, hard working and a team player, since day one. I am not being bragdotious either, I did not even tell people that I had gotten the promotion, my boss did. HELP!
