Ever notice on the Internet that some people are making all the money (YouTube, Google, MySpace, eBay, Skype, etc.).

I’m a new employee in a high-stress corporation, and I think I can manage it if I can stay in any level I’m in for at least a year. Anything less than that, and I’ll have to undergo the current stress I’m under of learning 20 clusterf*k processes. I think I could handle a lateral move, but I’m concerned that I wouldn’t be able to handle a promotion without a lot of time in my current position.

I ask because I was approached by my manager for a promotion. I am not the easiest person to work with. I don’t gossip, I keep to myself, I don’t get too personal with my coworkers, and I am infamous for giving the evil eye to anyone to behaves badly. On the other hand I am obsessive about being polite, I am more productive and disiplined than most of my coworkers, I am good with customers, and I don’t steal.

This position, if I should accept it, is at another location. Am I being sent away? Or am I overthinking it?

When is a promotion not a promotion?

I was promoted last year and I want to update my resume showing my promotion. How should the format look with keeping the professional look?

I just received an job promotionand there’s one lady that keeps giving me a hard a time. For one thing she’s 62 years old and I try to look at that she’s old enough to be my mother. I give her, her respect but she gives me a hard time. Now they talking about giving me another promotion and she wants me to recommened her for my job but she claims she don’t remember anything. So, everyday I have to tell the same thing again and again. Alslo, when the temp seervices send an employee over she gives them a hard time and they quit. What should I do or say to this lady with out hurting her feelings.

Hi. I am looking for any interesting ideas that you may know about with regards to producing an origional self promotion package for possible employers. Rather than just the usual, letterhead, business card etc (though I would also inclusde these). Particularly something 3 dimentional, such as paper folding, are there any online sites which give details and instructions? I have looked but as yet to no avail. I imagine there are books but I am very short of money. Thankyou in advance.
